How should I install the AlbumPrinter software?
Click here to download the free software. Your browser will automatically download the software. Windows XP might display a warning and you may have to click the bar at the top of the browser window. Once downloading is finished, double-click the file 'AlbumprinterAlbumeditorsetup.exe' which was saved to your PC's hard disk. The installation program will ask you some questions and then install the Editor. You should only change the path names suggested by the installation program if there is a real need for that. Once the installation is complete, go to "Start/Programs" and click the AlbumPrinter icon. The program will then start. You can find answers to most other questions in the manual.
How can I move the software to another part of my hard disk?
We suggest that you reinstall the program. Start the 'AlbumprinterAlbumeditorsetup.exe' file again. During the installation you can select the new location where the Editor should be installed. In the old directory you can find the albums you saved in the 'My Albums' folder. You can copy these files to the 'My Albums' folder of the new directory. When you open the new Editor you will see all your old photo albums listed. You can now remove the old Editor.
How can I save a photo album or calendar?
You can only save a photo album or calendar if you have inserted at least one photograph or caption in it. The product will be saved automatically when you close the program. You can also save a product by clicking the 'Save' button on the left of the menu. The document will be saved in directory C:/Program Files/AlbumEditor/MyAlbums.
Where can I find a saved photo album or calendar?
You can find saved documents in directory C:/Program Files/AlbumEditor/MyAlbums. However, if you specified a different path during installation, your albums may be stored in a different location on your hard disk.
In this case the path is C:/name you entered/AlbumEditor/MyAlbums. The document name and path of your saved files is also displayed in the first Album Editor window.
If you use the Advanced Editor, the documents will be saved in 'My Documents'.
How can I remove last year's calendar from my Editor?
1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Go to C:/Program Files/Albumprinter Album Editor/Albumstyles/pap_008
(or the location you entered during installation)
3. In this folder you can delete the folder containing the old calendar.
4. Close Windows Explorer and start the Editor.
5. You can download the calendar for the new year with the 'Download Styles' option.
How can I delete a photo album or calendar from Album Editor?
Saved documents can be deleted as follows:
- Close Album Editor
- Select 'Start', 'Run ...'.
- Enter C:\Program Files\AlbumEditor\MyAlbum\ and click ‘OK' (for the Advanced Editor, browse to my documents/albumprinter editor)
- Windows Explorer will display a list of all your Album Editor documents.
- Delete the relevant document.
- Close Windows Explorer.
What file formats does the software support?
The software supports all common file formats, such as JPEG (jpg), GIF, BMP, TIFF, PNG, RGB and several RAW formats
Is my digital camera compatible with the program?
You can do quite a lot with a 2 megapixel camera. Of course, the larger you want to print a picture, the more pixels you will need. We recommend that you take the photographs at the highest resolution. Anyway, the program will always tell you if your photograph has a high enough resolution for printing at a particular size.
What requirements should my computer meet to run the software?
We suggest Windows 2000 or Windows XP, 1.22 GHz CPU, 256 MB RAM , 32 MB video RAM. The best would be Windows XP, 3 GHz CPU , 512 MB+ RAM, 64 MB+ video RAM.
